Aardvark Engineering Consultancy is a small Opto-Electronics design house. We are staffed entirely by engineers, with a wealth of experience in a broad range of areas, including R&D, military systems, academia and so on. We specialise in hardware and/or software design for optical, displays and electronic products and systems, with an emphasis on providing clients and customers with cost effective and appropriate solutions for their own products. In particular we offer a service to companies that do not have in house facilities or staff either for electronics design or manufacture.

By keeping our fixed overheads very low we are able to offer an extremely professional service but at an affordable price. This makes us particularly suitable for SMEs, although we have worked with companies ranging from the very small to the global brand.

The range of services we offer include:

• General electronics design, including mixed signal.

• Requirements capture and specification writing.

• Concept/system design, including "proof-of-principle" demonstrations.

• Rapid prototyping for PCBs.

• Design/manufacture of bespoke test equipment.

• C/C++ or assembly code for PCs and embedded systems.

Our staff have extensive experience of PCB design and manufacture, both here and in the Far East. Even if you are not sure that Aardvark will be able to help, we welcome enquiries. If it turns out we are not in a position to assist (and in most cases we will be able to tell very quickly), then there is a good chance we will know someone who can; it is not in our interest to take on work we cannot do well.
